When Justin and I began discussing our wedding plans, there was no doubt in our minds about where we would have our ceremony. We chose St. Joseph Chapel, which is located on the campus of Spring Hill College where Justin completed his undergraduate degree. It is a historic chapel that has been renovated and completely embodies the romantic atmosphere that every girl dreams to have on her wedding day. It is so breathtaking and we know that it is the perfect venue for our ceremony!
The Reception
Although we knew where we wanted our ceremony, we had no idea where we wanted to have our reception! It was a stressful process of researching and visiting different venues in order to find the ideal location. We looked at several venues including the Bienville Club, Space 301, Stewart-field, The Battle House (Crystal Ballroom), and Byrne Memorial Library. All the locations offered a beautiful reception location, but some of them could not accommodate all of our guests or requested services. In the end, we chose to have our reception at Byrne Memorial Library on Spring Hill's campus.
Byrne Memorial Library is an old library that has been renovated for event use. It is large enough to hold all of our guest and also provides in-house catering, which is extremely convenient. When a bride and groom reserve Byrne Hall they are given the venue for the entire day. This is definitely a pro considering most reception venues only allow three to five hours of rental. Justin and I are very pleased with our choice and can't wait to celebrate our nuptials with our guests!
